What Matters Most:
  • 5+ years of billable paralegal experience, with a background in employment law a plus
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate also preferred
Your New Role:

This firm, which is looking for an Employment Litigation Paralegal, is the best of both worlds. It’s nationally recognized and resourced, and its local office has a stellar reputation and fantastic clients. (The downtown views and sleek office are pretty great too). They’ve asked Boly:Welch to find an effective Paralegal to support two employment law attorneys who focus on a key account with matters in many jurisdictions and states – there’s a lot to learn! This is also a new position at the firm, so the person in it will get to add their stamp to it without being told “we’ve always done things this way.” The day-to-day responsibilities of the role include managing client documents, including discovery, conducting background checks, and preparing all documents for productions, including bates labeling and redactions. The right person for the role is also an efficient drafter for a wide variety of matters, including removal documents, answers, initial disclosures, various motions and orders, affidavits and declarations, discovery matters, settlement agreements, and much more. They’ll also be deep in the weeds of trial preparation, including managing exhibits, witness lists, files and subpoenas, coordinating and attending witness prep meetings, and assisting at trial. The interesting cases and precedent-setting topics ensure the job is never going to be boring.
