Boly:Welch is a recruiting, consulting and executive search firm that represents a wide variety of businesses and organizations in the Portland, Oregon area. Recruitment for this position is being led by Boly:Welch on behalf of one of their clients.
What Matters Most:
- 10-20+ years as a high-profile corporate executive assistant, or a managing partner’s legal assistant
- Proficiency in MS Office required; proficiency in iManage, ProLaw preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Your New Role:
This Legal Executive Assistant role is an incredible opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record of supporting a member of the C-Suite at a well-known company or shareholder of a prestigious law firm. There are definitely heavy administrative components, but the job is essentially acting as the right-hand for one of the most respected attorneys in town. Her colleagues describe her as progressive, brilliant, and a team-player. Even though she is busy and moves quickly, she’s a good listener and needs this Executive Assistant’s help to keep everything charging along. The job is fast-paced, and made even more efficient with clever use of technology. Strong applicants will be excellent communicators – especially via email – and careful proofreaders. Ideally, they’d also be interested in legal environments, or appreciate challenging and fairly academic matters. The firm respects work-life balance, but the nature of their practice means there will be some questions and texts after-hours and potentially on a few weekends. However, this would be an incredible position for a candidate who is the right blend of technical, quick, communicative, and curious.
Your New Organization:
This law firm covers a variety of disciplines and touts major finesse in each practice area. The value of work/life balance isn’t overlooked here and it shows through their family-oriented culture. It’s also an office that celebrates – there are wine parties, a summer picnic, a bi-annual anniversary party, holiday luncheons, and firm retreats. If you’re hired, you’ll have access to rich medical, vision, and dental coverage – with the lion’s share of premiums paid for your family – a 401(k) plus match, profit sharing, paid TriMet or parking (or a ZipCar membership for occasional drivers), generous paid time off, a paid sabbatical, and enjoy brand new offices!
